Jordan Mirabile probably doesn’t ever have to worry about using a GPS or getting lost. Jordan, a Grade 7 student at The Stanwich School, recently won the school’s geography bee and qualified to compete in the 2017 Connecticut National Geographic State Bee at Central Connecticut State University. With superhero capes in place, Stanwich’s Grade 3 students saved the day at their Hero Convention. Each student was assigned a real life hero and had their choice of a fictional super hero. Then they set about researching the real life hero with their Grade 12 “buddies” and compared him or her to their fictional counterpart. It’s official, The Stanwich School has the “Biggest Heart in Greenwich!”  February’s “Biggest Heart in Greenwich” blood drive run by the American Red Cross collected 32 pints of blood for hospital patients in need.   According to the Red Cross, many schools, churches, synagogues, the Greenwich Police Department and groups like the Milbrook Club all participated.  Red Cross sponsors thanked the Stanwich School, which recruited the most attendees to take part in this lifesaving mission.  “The... The Stanwich School’s gymnasium went from school zone to vogue-filled fashion show Friday night at Fashion For Change. An assemblage of 50 students and faculty spent the evening of Friday, January 20 modeling an array of fashion pieces in the school-turned-runway. The Grade 7 girls’ basketball team traveled to Rye Country Day to open their season and came away with a convincing 14-4 victory.  The Spartans led wire-to-wire and were never really threatened throughout the game.  Leading the way for the Spartans was Izzy Turek who led Stanwich with 10 points.  Chipping in with two points each were Logan Murphy and Gabby Bonic.  The Spartan defense was stifling throughout the game as Rye Country Day did not score a basket until the middle way through the... The Senior House boys basketball team opened their season with a pre-winter break effort, beating French-American School 41-25 at home.  In front of fans on the home court, the boys played team ball, unselfishly passing in order to set up teammates for buckets.
