In the Primary House, music, drama and movement are taught in French.   This unique immersion curriculum is designed to expose young students to a foreign language in a natural, enjoyable setting and prepare them for more formal foreign language instruction in the Intermediate House and beyond.

During music and drama classes, Primary House students learn songs in French and English, including The Stanwich School Song.  French songs are often sung during morning assemblies.  Likewise, in drama, students in Grades 1 through 3 stage a grade-level musical production entirely in French.
