Students
each lunch at School Monday through Thursday.
On Fridays, students are dismissed before lunch,
unless they are attending special events.
Students either bring lunch from home, or participate
in the purchased lunch programs, which are described
below. The School supplies a nutritious
mid-morning snack to all students every day.
NOTE:
The Stanwich School strives to maintain a NUT-FREE
environment. We have a number of students
with serious allergies to nuts, so it is vital
that parents and students NOT bring or send
any food to School containing nuts. This
includes peanut butter sandwiches and peanut
butter cookies. Please make sure there
are no nuts present before sending food to School
in a lunchbox or for a birthday treat or classroom
event. Everyone's cooperation is appreciated.
The
Stanwich School offers a purchased lunch program
for students in Grades K-6 and a separate program
for students in Grades 7-9. Parents may
order hot or cold bagged lunches provided by
these local food services, as an alternative
to packing lunch boxes at home.
Parents
have the option of purchasing lunch as often
or infrequently as desired, using an online service. Lunches
are prepared and packaged and delivered to both
the Stanwich Road and the Riverside locations
each day. Each bag is marked with the student's
name and class. Lunches are delivered to students.
.
These
food services cannot guarantee nut-free food.
Therefore, The School does not recommend these
programs for students with food allergies, sensitivities
or dietary restrictions.
The
School office is not involved in the lunch programs.
We ask that you DO NOT contact The School office
with questions or concerns. All payments
must be made directly to the vendors and all
inquiries should be made directly to them.
For additional details about the purchased lunch
programs, visit Lunch
Suppliers.
