Our criteria for enrollment
Each applicant to the Stanwich School is considered for admission to a particular grade based on the child's birth date, the ability to successfully manage the rigors of the curriculum, and on a need blind basis. The Admission Committee will consider the applicant's previous record of achievement in school (not necessary for Pre-k and K), a demonstrated readiness to handle the demands of the grade that he or she is applying for, and a applicant's emotional and social development. A child's creativity, intelligence, inquisitiveness, motivation, compassion, and enthusiasm for learning as well as a wiliness to be an enthusiastic contributing member of the Stanwich community are important qualities that we look for in a candidate for the Stanwich School.
