After School Programs
A variety of after-school programs are offered for students at all grade levels.
After-school "Options" classes are held on-site after school hours, featuring high-interest activities for students in grades 2 and 3. The programs offered change every 8-10 weeks. Most of these classes are taught by Stanwich faculty. Some, like chess and magic, are taught by outside experts who come to the school to teach. All of these activities are voluntary and are paid for by parents. Examples of the after-school classes that have been offered at The Stanwich School are:

- Sports (ie. Golf, Lacrosse, Soccer, Street Hockey )

For Intermediate House students in grades 4 through 6, the school offers a variety of after-school courses including cooking, band, chess and public speaking. A large-scale musical production is staged each spring and all Intermediate House students are invited to participate.
Individual music lessons are offered after-school to students of all ages in such instruments as piano, guitar, electric guitar, drums, violin, flute, clarinet and others. Visit Performing Arts for further information.
