Academic Support

Academic accommodations for individual students are considered on a case by case basis and depend on the needs of the student. All modifications are made with the idea that they are short term in nature. The goal is to develop strategies that will help the student meet the school's expectations without accommodations.

The Stanwich School employs a Director of Students Services and Curriculum Developmentt who observes students, offers suggestions and works collaboratively with the school and families to identify ways of meeting student needs. In addition, a number of Learning Specialist s assists with tutorial placement if appropriate and work with professional evaluators to identify specific learning styles and educational approaches. Individual tutoring is available.
